Summary:
Stratus' Compensation and Benefits Manager has primary responsibility for setting and maintaining the organization's pay and benefits structure, programs, and plans.

Major
Responsibilities:
Partner with the organization and SVP of HR as a thought partner in compensation and benefits strategy Drive evolution of Stratus' Short Term Incentive Plan deeper into the organization.
During M&A activity, map acquired employees into Stratus job framework, validating exemption status and 1099 contractors, manage benefit transitions.
Recommend creative health benefit options that are market competitive and relevant to Stratus' employee demographic.
Evaluate and enhance Stratus Total Rewards including but not limited to health and 401(k) benefits, variable pay structure, tuition reimbursement, etc.
Routinely validate or update Stratus' job framework based on market conditions and government regulations.
Conduct thorough job analysis for new positions, including evaluation of descriptions to determine classification, title and grade.
Partner and evaluate third party benefit vendors and insurance brokers.
Oversees Annual 401(k) audit, ACA reporting and 5500 filings for 401(k) and health benefits.
Ensure all plans administration policies are compliant with the applicable provisions of COBRA, HIPAA, and ERISA.
Supervisory
Responsibilities:
Oversee Compensation & Benefits Coordinator duties Administration of Stratus' employee benefits program including health, life and disability insurance plans and wellness plans, retirement plans and leave policies.
Coordination of wage increases in accordance with Stratus policy, including but not limited to annual reviews, merits and bonuses.
Manage benefit events such as open enrollment, renewal and wellness screenings.
Coordinate benefit education meetings during open enrollment and throughout the year.
Process weekly 401(k) funding and update funding spreadsheet for audit.
Facilitate accurate and timely delivery of employer contributions and employee payroll deductions to carriers, plan administrators, or other appropriate service providers.
Audit the monthly reconciliation of benefit invoices completed by ADP.
Complete records, reporting, and other documentation required by federal, state, and provider rules, regulations, and policies.
Including but not limited to unemployment, ACA and Medicare.

Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, psychology, or related field One of more of the following certifications, or similar, are highly preferred:
SHRM-CP, PHR, SPHR, CEBS, CCP, CBP Knowledge of current Federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Experience:

years of relevant experience, including experience at a strategic level Proven ability to work at the strategic level as well as manage the day to day administration of a comp and benefits efforts within an organization Compensation analysis and benefits administration Variable compensation development, planning and execution Experience partnering with finance and accounting teams Merger & Acquisition experience is preferred, but not required MS Office, specifically Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, including the use of pivot tables, formulas, and data analytics eeo/mfdv Job Type:
