Leading Quality, Integrity, Valued Partner, Empathy, Innovation, Team-First POSITION SUMMARYThe Project Manager will be responsible for analyzing and auditing the Reimbursement trends to ensure the timely and accurate collection of outstanding accounts receivable from all payers for Pharmacy, Home Infusion and Specialty product lines.
Collaborates with various departments to ensure resolution of Payer and Contract issues, by gathering claims data, providing support and directive to various departments to ensure proper education and training is implemented.
The role requires a deep understanding of medical billing practices, strong leadership skills, and ability to implement effective startegies for optimizing the collections process.
Responsible for problem solving issues with high dollar AR accounts, managing productivity and assigning daily collection tasks to staff.
Interfaces with a variety of internal and external customers to ensure the best patient experience in the most efficient manner.
Ensures that all HIPAA, policies/procedures and compliance requirements are met within the department.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & TRAINING Bachelors Degree required, advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of seven years of professional business experience with significant accomplishments and track record in achieving coding, coverage and payment for medical services and developing new reimbursement support programs and services.
Minimum of seven years' experience working directly with managing reimbursement strategy and tactical execution including managing reimbursement support in the medical environment and or reimbursement consulting.
Thorough knowledge and understanding of the pharmaceutical reimbursement environment (government and private payers) including coverage, coding and payment as well as how to develop, implement and manage reimbursement assistance programs preferred.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to work independently to develop effective reimbursement strategy and tactical programs/tools strongly preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills to influence/negotiate complex decisions and be a strong positive advocate for communicating the mission, objectives and results of the Accounts Receivable Team with stakeholders and building cross-functional relationships.
High level of verbal and written communication skills, credible with high level audience.
Strong analytical and business skills.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES Work directly with public and private payers and drive reimbursement strategy for new and existing service offeringsDevelop and execute comprehensive reimbursement strategies to obtain coding, positive coverage decisions and appropriate payment from public and private payers.
Develop strategies to support the development of new lines of service providing a perspective on potential issues regarding reimbursement or procedure coding that will impact the successful launch of the service.
Serve as technical expert, in government reimbursement policies and areas of third party reimbursement, and a source for reimbursement information for internal (marketing, sales, clinical affairs) and external (customers, payers) customers.
Work directly with public and private payers and drive reimbursement strategy for new and existing service offerings.
Manage reimbursement programs to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
