Imbuesys, Inc. is seeking junior-level Web Developers who will utilize standard occupational web development tools, technologies and knowledge to perform the following job duties: Under close supervision of Project Manager, assist in evaluating code to ensure that it is valid, is properly structured, meets industry standards and is compatible with browsers, devices, and/or operating systems. Assist in analyzing business requirements, writing functional requirements, developing detailed technical designs, and building unit/system test code, using understanding of full software development life cycle (SDLC). Participate in monitoring use of data files and regulating access to safeguard information in computer files. Under guidance from Project Manager, assist team members in making contributions to continuous improvement of software development best practices in the areas of coding tools, languages and APIs, as well as software design and development processes. Work with team members to troubleshoot complex technical problems, within time constraints and project dead-lines. Interact and communicate effectively with project managers, developers, technical operations, and quality assurance testers. Communicate with system users to ensure accounts are set up properly and/or to assist in diagnosing and solving operational issues. May perform other duties normally associated with this occupation.
Requirements: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or related major that provided the skills, knowledge, and abilities required and 6 months of experience in the job offered or in a related position that provided the required skills, knowledge and abilities. Employer will accept a 3- or 4-year Bachelors degree. Employer will accept a foreign degree.
Also requires demonstrable experience in database design and development and at least one of the following technical skills: IIS, ASP, .net, Java , C#, C/C+, J2EE, EJP, SOAP, JavaScript, VB, VB Script, HTML/DHTML/XML, Servlets, UNIX, Oracle, SQL Server, Unix/Linux, Spring, Hibernate, AJAX, Struts, Web Services, JQuery, Flash, or Visual Studio.
No travel or telecommuting. Position is project-based at various unanticipated work sites within the U.S., and relocation may be required at the end of each long-term project. Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable. The term suitable, in this context, means substantial compatibility with stated academic level and job experience requirements and ability to perform job duties.
