Carrier Relationship Manager

Position Summary:
Gallagher SmartMarket provides participating carriers access to focused analytics and information regarding the portfolio of commercial accounts handled by each specific BSD location in order to better align carrier solutions with our client's risk management needs. The Carrier Relationship Manager will help participating carriers navigate the Arthur J. Gallagher network so they can more effectively match their value proposition with client risks that fit their targeted underwriting appetite. Responsibilities include managing the SmartMarket and overall business relationships with a select number of carriers. The activities will require travel and frequent interactions at all levels of AJG and the select carrier organizations.
List of Essential Duties:
Work closely with the subscribing carriers to develop and oversee the execution of action plans with the field
Participate in business development and planning meetings with the carriers
Interface with carriers on a weekly/monthly basis in addition to contracted meetings to ensure positive partner relationship
Act as the carrier's advocate to the field in order to facilitate the delivery of the carrier value propositions and appetite
Deliver SmartMarket data, pipeline data and report access to insurers
Lead business reviews with carriers and field leadership teams
Oversee the interactions between AJG and the subscribing carriers organization
Facilitate escalation of problematic issues
Ensure the overall success of the initiative
Requirements:
Demonstratedcapability of building and maintaining relationships with insurance executives
Familiaritywith BSD regional & local leadership
Knowledgeof AJG broking practices, internal structure, data systems and product/clientconcentrations
Capabilityto quickly capture insurer priorities
Familiarwith insurance industry dynamics
Abilityto travel as needed
7+years of insurance industry experience
Bachelor'sDegree
Work Traits:

Bachelor's Degree
7 or more years of related experience in the insurance industry
Demonstrated capability of building and maintaining relationships with insurance executives
Familiarity with BSD regional & local leadership
Knowledge of AJG broking practices, internal structure, data systems and product/client concentrations
Capability to quickly capture insurer priorities
Familiar with insurance industry dynamics
Ability to travel as needed up to 25%

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
